And the last one of the sins ! yeah!
First, I want to answer to all the people who asked me "for gluttony, you will do someone fat right ?" So NO. And I have 2 reasons. First it's a really too common way to draw gluttony and I don't think it's original. And second, I eat A LOT but I'm not fat. And in the contrary, I had an old friend who was and she wasn't eating that much, she just had health problems. So, yes, most part of the time, if you eat too much, you take weight but it's really too simple to categorize people like that. I was more interested to draw what food represents for us all sometimes. Personal opinion again, respect it. Thank you.
I did a difference between the grey/brown colors of the girl and the vivid colors of what she eats because eating is a way to be happy and food has a really special flavour during those special moments :)
>> little personal story which inspired that picture : When I cook (lol try to cook) a cake, I just can't resist to lick the container I used for making it because there's still some cake dough on it :XD: and this is ugly to see me doing this. One of my friend saw me, he laughed so much, I was ridiculous and dirty. Like the girl on the picture. But I love the taste !!! can't do anything against that :XD:
So yes, we all like to eat sometimes (and I tried to use a brown on her hair which can make you think of chocolate :la: nutellaaaaaaa ! ). To be honest, I never really understood why this one was added on the deadly sins ...it's like everything in life, I mean, you just have to be careful with the quantity you eat.

This picture end my 7 sins serie. I will certainly do the 7 virtues now ~ :)

Secondly, I know about gluttony.

Gluttony is about giving in to your baser desires. It's about overindulging just because you like something, and so others can't enjoy them.

I guess Gluttony to me is eating in excess for the sake of eating, not because you need to eat, or eating too much rich food like lots of rich chocolate etc.

Btw I LOVE this pic, it's such a cool choice of colours <3

To answer your question about why gluttony is considered a deadly sin, it's because it refers to the sin of over indulgence, not necessarily with food. Food is the most common way for it to be portrayed, but it can mean over indulging in anything. I've always found this particular sin to be very closely associated with greed, in my personal opinion.

Anyways, I love this series of yours. Your use of water colours is beautiful and the style stays consistent through the pictures without becoming stale. Excellent work as always. :)
